one you need to callout an engineer as you actually dealing with main gas valve as the pilot injector and thermocouple are linked directly to gas vavle

have you any idea how much it shouid cost because so far the cheapest for someone to come out and do the thermo is 300

don't phone the big flash ads in yellow pages, Ask friends/ family if they can reccomend anyone,

 i phoned loads and that was the cheapest ? so couid it be this thermocouple ?

Rubbish. You could get a fixed price repair from the big boys for less.

As has been said, you need this checking professionally. Try a recomendation or your local paper and ask if they are familiar with your boiler.....

when you hold down gas for pilot light does it light as normal
if yes then it`s thermococouple
if no it`s pilot light need`s cleaning and simple service may fix it
or may need replacing and if that cheapest you can get then i might relocate

no it dosn,t light at all ? and yes that was the cheapest so far 1 company wanted a 100 call out and then 80 a hour without parts lol
