So guys its come to light the pipe is in use to fill toilet thats been added on the second floor. How do i get that pipe flush to the wall. As you can see ive got very little to play with at the bottom. Tips greatly appreciated.
You could fit two 90deg bend fittings immediately above the drain cock branch as this will be below the floorboards (and therefore the fact that it doesn't look good won't matter!). Then run a new piece of pipe up against the wall and join it to the top part of the pipe above the swept bend with an inline coupler.
I did think that Chris so thanks. Its going to be underneath a shower tray which will be on legs so i do have a bit of play. Just need to give the pipes a good clean first to connect the joins
Do you think i could get a coupler on that straight bit? Reason i ask is the drain cock is at floor board level so cant even put a new floorboard down. Ideally id cut it out.
Where does the pipe go to / appear on the ground floor?
Can you cut it there there to replace with a new straight length to join up with the clean(er) looking pipe?
Alternatively cut out the pipe above and heat the T piece to remove it (along with the drain cock).
Clean up (wipe old solder off with a damp rag) and then do the "two elbows" to get back to the wall.
