First post and a bit embarrassing so here goes. Had some ch pipes moved into a corner as they were at the side of a window. Recommended to plasterboard over them
The trouble is the new pipes ended up at skirting level, behind plasterboard and I want to use oak. (Same as done in my living room which I really like.)

Obviously, as they are, I can't use mechanical fixings due to the pipes behind and don't think adhesive will be enough alone due to movement? The other walls are fine. Plumber just fobbed me off saying that's the only place he could put them! Bit embarrassed at getting into this situation, but has anyone got any suggestions prior to me getting the joiner round so he can have a good laugh? All other threads seem to be about mdf.

This was taken a while ago. It's since been plasterboarded and plastering done with the usual gap between plasterboard and floor. Was told don't worry just use gripfill but not sure about it's effectiveness on oak.
