some how i don't think so, nothing has changed on the plumbing side and i think its called water hammer, i need to find out whats causing it.

When i open a tap and water is flowing, i go to another tap and turn it off and there is no banging sound as water is flowing constantly. Any ideas where to look for the fault??

some how i don't think so,

you ask advice then don't believe what your told.
yes it is water hammer which is a shock wave caused when you turn a tap off etc.

can be caused through high pressure, unclipped pipes, loose jumper in stopcock.

there has been a growing number of similar problems here in Glasgow.

on inspection it was found that a large number of Spanish pipe monkeys had made it into the incoming mains and were playing inside the pipes.

contact RSPCA for humane killing devices
