Any suggestions on how to quieten down my clickky pipes ? The noise seems to come from a pair of elbows just above the lounge ceiling

Its JG Barrier pipe With mainly conex joints ........ I say mainly as I ran out of the decent stuff & had to make do with DIY shed elbows ..... Fit in haste & all that ....

You chaps actually think that changing the joints will shut em up ?

I did use Copper Olives (Well at least I tried to geddit right)

The plastic pipe expands more than the copper stuff, so you just need to make sure that things have room to move about a bit without being cramped, especially the elbows.

Ahhhhh........ They are a wee bit cramped in there ...... I'll lift a board & jiggle things around a bit ......

Tiz drivin me insaine ...... Everytime a Rad valve opens or closes ...... Clickkerty Click click ....... "Tryin to watch Coronation Street allready" :?

cut strips of something like rubber or soft plastic and cover the pipe where it is touching the wood to give room for expansion and make sure the cut outs are big enough
