PIR ceiling sensors

PIR sensor power usage in standby is in tens of milliwatts range. Over a year would cost a few pence in electricity not pounds.
 
It's your choice - but, be warned that, if you do, it might fairly quickly drive you mad!

Builder is trying to convince me to put this in rather than a switch!

I was thinking of putting a PIR sensor in ceiling...
If it's the builder (in the name of all that is rational, why???) tell him to do one.

If it is you, why not think again? Just what is wrong with a switch, like wot 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of people have?
