Morning All,

Went to bed last night at around 22:30 and set my alarm on night mode as usual. Woke up at 02:50am to my alarm going off. Got up and inspected “Kitchen PIR” was in alert but nothing else.

After inspection, no signs of forced entry etc. Just wondered what could of caused a false alarm? System was installed by me a few weeks back. It’s a Texecom 64W. I work away a lot so it has been set for a good three days/nights solid with no false alarms.

I’m now worried about setting it in case it goes off again in error.

Thanks

In work once, we had a call out in the middle of the night. Turned out to be the office PIR. A tiny spider had actually got into the PIR through the cable entry hole. They cleared him out and sealed the hole with some silicon and it never happened again.
