Hi there

I have just replaced the junction box of a working PIR light system and thought that I had replaced like with like, however now the light comes on all the time. I have tried turning the light off as per the instructions but no joy.

It is an auto on/off system with an override switch indoors and a seperate PIR from the lamp

The wires i have are - from the house supply; yellow, red, blue and earth
from the Sensor - yellow, brown, blue - no earth ( not required from sensor)
and from the Lamp - brown, blue and earth.

I have obviously missed out a connection when I wrote out the original wiring connections, any help in the correct order would be much appreciated.

From your description it sounds like you have mixed up the switch live and permanent live - you will need to identify them and do a swop.

thanks for your advice, went back and checked it out found that I had connected the live from the load directly to the live from the supply.
