Hi all, knocked kitchen and dining into one room and looking for best position for current Honeywell (8IR103)Pet PIR to be placed. Sensor is still attached to wall in what was dining space facing 45 degrees into centre of room. Have had patio doors fitted and will be having new kitchen with hob etc. Drawing below any advice would be very welcome. Also assume no problems extending 6 core cable? Thanks J

cat and small dog, neither of which jump up on furniture. touch wood never had any false alarms where current sited, but would prefer of it covered more area and also bit unsightly where it is now with partition wall gone

I would fit it to the right of the external patio doors , BUT ...would there be blinds/ curtains across the patio door ? Would the cat jump on the hob worktop ? What other furniture eg table is going in the room ? Every job is different , every pet is different

will be table in middle of dining room ,, no blinds/curtains,, very unlikely cat will jump on any surface as been well warned of that and knows what to expect.. so will go with the extreme corner facing inwards.. cheers mr marka.. as mentioned, extension of cable shouldnt pose any issues? should it. current run is probably 8 meters and to new position 5 more 13 total.

ha ha!

cat won't jump on table while you are looking!

well if she does , let her take the consequences, as i know for a fact she is s### scared of internal sounder. :sneaky::sneaky:.:evil:
