PIR swap

I'm looking to swap an old PIR that was in the house we bought years ago.
I'm doing some decorating and the old PIR is looking tired.
Taking the old PIR apart, there is 6 wires but nothing saying where/what they are connected to like the new PIR does.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?

Well…looking at that …there is no power connected to the pirs ….do / did they light up ? If so there got to be a junction box somewhere or the power is linked to keypad / bell ….bit of a bodge job ….
You are going to need a multimeter …

All 3 sensors show a red light when walking past.
There's a keypad directly behind the wall from the panel.
I have a multimeter.

Ok at an educated guess set multimeter on DC ….put probes on the red and black wired terminal ..You should if correct have 13.8v dc

Hi, I get a reading of 13.6v dc from probes on red and black wires on the sensor.

The bell/sounder isn't connected correctly, assuming its an externally one-the tamper for that is connected to the global tamper terminals, it shouldn't be-why there are two cables associated with the sounder circuit is anyones guess.
The detectors haven't got any tampers connected, those tampers should go to the global tamper terminals.
Where those detectors are deriving power from is anyone's guess, only a 6 core cable picking up all 3 zones.
The system really needs a look at by someone who is fully conversant with intruder systems tbh.

I've no idea, but everything has always worked as it should.
Power cut with good battery no problems.
Power cut with dead battery, external alarm sounds.
Take fronts off any of the sensors or panel and tamper alarm sounds.
Walk through test works as it should.

And there's me thinking it was just an easy sensor swap.

There appears to be another cable with the tamper loop coonected in series with the bell tamper. A bit of an odd set up!

I wonder if the bellbox is an old H or C type with a horn sounder and no SAB. I have seen an old system with something similar on the very cheap alarms installed in the 1980s

Ok
Red to + on new sensor
Black to - on new sensor
Green to T
White to other T
And blue and yellow to the NC ( either way is ok )

I've swapped over to the new sensor but it's only reading 4v dc across the red and black wires now.
The other sensors don't light up red when I work past them either.
I've checked in panel and can't see any fuses that might have blown.
No idea why it's not working at present.

Check these fuses you need to remove them

I decided to take fuses out anyway and check then with my multimeter just in case.
Turns out one was blown, even with a strong magnifying glass it was hard to see
I've ordered some off Amazon so hopefully all well tomorrow.
