If some wall lights have been took directly from the ring main without being "fused down", what number should it be on a PIR?
If it is labelled on the CU, is this sufficient?
You can't really overload those fittings as they have a fixed load so if the cable is suitable give it a 2 because it isn't immediately dangerous but it should improved (fused down).
Even though the load is fixed, I have seen it before where over time the cable in the base of a lampholder has become deteriorated with heat from the lamp to the extent when disturbed the phase has arced to the earthed metalwork. Depending on the design, the supply, manufacturers instructions, compliance with 553-03 etc, I may even go for code 1 for for ineffective overcurrent protection.
