Hi guys, does this looks right? I'm referring to the top course.

looks a little bit stretched maybe try the batten on edge

What if I trim the previous tiles flush with the batten and this way I can drop the last batten lower?

You can do away with the top batten and hook the top eave over the last full course of tiles.
