planning permission and asbestos

Hi

Please could someone tell me how a self employed builder would know if a house he's working on has asbestos?

I have been told that it would be in the planning permission or building regs sought by the customer. ...say for an extension? ??

A good builder ,,,,,By using his eyes and his experience

A cowboy .... Well they tend to call everything asbestos if they want more money or as is more likely will try their hardest to hide it as they realise that its going to hold the job up

Planning permission will not tell you what has been used in the build of a home neither will building regs .

They will however allow you to build your house to a set standard
Just a shame that so many try and diy it without following them LOL

Anything that looks like it could contain Asbestos should be tested by a specialist analytical Company
