plaster boards what type

hello i am about 2 pull down a kitchen ceiling what would be the best plasterboard 4 the job it is in a bungalow so is straight bellow the loft space is it best 2 use the one with the foil backing if not what would you guys suggest 2 use thanks 4 reading this hope someone can help a novice

roughcaster would you use the same boards 4 the stud walls and would they be squar edge boards
 
They are far stronger than the 9.5 mm, so yes. If you're going to skim the walls, then square edge would be fine. If you plan to tape and fill, then get tapered edged boards.

thanks roughcaster it will be skimmed so that is 12.5 square edge foil backed 8*4 boards put the * because couldn't find the times button
 
On internal stud partition walls, you would be able to use plain 12.5mm plasterboard instead of foil backed, if you wanted too.

as the cost of foil backed board isn't allot more money i think i will go with that unless you think otherwise and will it be the same plaster on the foil backed or is it a special plaster many thanks 4 this advise

so now i know what i am on with looks like i will have 2 get started i am feeling tired just talking about it many thanks roughcaster will update you on my progress but dont expect it 2 happen overnight rich
