Plasterboard - is it safe to lean a ladder against it?

Just painting stairway leading up to new loft conversion.

Is it safe to use a ladder to reach the ceiling if the ladder is propped against a plasterboard panel? Or would I be in danger of breaking the plasterboard?

bit off 12mm ply or timber 4 inches wide full length off the opening -1" taped to the top off the ladder when in place secure with 2 screws into the studs or plasterboard fixing if you cant find them
