I have a problem in a bathroom where over the years several fixings have been attached to the walls and as such the plasterboard has numerous "old" holes in it. These have all been suitably filled, but finding a suitable firm piece of board to attach new fittings too is not possible.
I am thinking about cutting a section of the plasterboard out and replacing with new and then re skimming it - is this the best way to go ? or is the a better way of handling this ?
Thanks
