do you think it looks ok ?
It's just bare boards what do you think :!: Wait till the walls are plastered, then you you'll regret it.

Some of those gaps look rather large, fill them before you tape; & youve not used enough fixings in places especially with 9,5mm boards; 210mm max but I stick them in around 150mmm & that's on 12.5mm boards.

still no reason why though ?

Christ your bloody impatient  ; because 9.5 isn’t thick enough for walls!

With dot & dab the boards will flex when you fix them & may not lay flat & the gaps can bow leaving a tell tale line where they meet which can be difficult to get rid of even with filler; even more so if you haven’t provided enough adhesive support around the perimeter of the boards! The finished wall will also be weak & more susceptible to damage than 12.5mm boards.

To save the day, get your spread to lay on an initial tight coat of Bonding plaster to beef it up a bit & then skim as normal. It would have been cheaper to use 12.5mm boards & even better if you’d have gone for a proper job with a base coat & skim.

i think the boading dont look to bad apart from the gaps at the top (ok if your using coving) but if i were you i would wack a bit of bonding or board addy in them before skimming other than that the window reveals look nice and straight youve done a pretty good job

thanks bud

it was my first time at plasterboarding.
the pics are not the clearest but it does look quite good.

i have a plasterer coming so i will leave any gaps to fill to him.
if he has any issues with the gaps at the top i will put up some coving, the room is only 5m x 2m.

one more question i dont think i put enough adhesive around the bottoms of the boards as there is some movement on a few of them at the corners , is there any way to fix this ?

yes your going to have to make a hole and get some board addy behind the boards or you could get some of the squirty foam adhesive to squirt that in the hole, but seeing as you may have some board addy i would use that

At least you know better for next time, and come on here beforehand to gets lots of useful information before you start 8)
