Hello all! Apologies up front for the next question but could anyone tell me the difference between wallboard and baseboard?

plasterboards are manufactured in differing sizes and thicknesses depending on their requirements. portability, strength and fire resistance, will usually dictate the size parameters.

for normal building scenareos, there are two general thicknesses, 9.5 and 12.5mm. these are sold in, 900x1200mm (base board), 1200x2400mm, 900x1800mm and 900x2400mm.

fire line boards can be sold at a thicker 15mm. duplex boards (foil backed) are usually fixed to areas vulnerable to temperature differential i.e. roof ceilings and external wall situations.

i'm sure there are more exotic sizes but these are examples of boards widely available to the public.
