Plastering on top of artex

anybody know how to plaster on top artex in a bathroom.

Try using a trowel.....



















Ok....seriously then....it will need a good coat of PVA first......or one thin one followed by a full one if the artex is bare...your plasterer should be able to advise

I am going to plaster it myself. Do you suggest i apply 2 thin coats or one thicker coat

Definatly two thinner ones.....a guy plastered mine a while back, it wasnt a heavy texture but he needed three coats of plaster to pull it out.
