Plastering Rooms - Safety Advice

Hi,

We are soon to be having two of our bedrooms re-plastered. I have a young family and don't want to expose them to any 'nasties', i.e. dust, wet plaster fumes as the walls dry out.

Is it safe for us all to be in the house while the plastering is taking place? I'm guessing that the best we can do is to make sure it's mixed outside, and for a sheet to go up over each of the bedroom doors so that most of the dust is kept there? For the most part we will be downstairs.

Would any dust/fume exposure be considered negligible, and are there any procedures or equipment we could put in place - air humidifiers, dehumidifiers, etc?

We have more rooms to do throughout most of the house to be re-plastered - am I correct in thinking that even if the whole house was plastered the exposure would still be deemed short-exposure as it would only be happening once, or in our case in stages?

Afaik, only the dusty product could be nasty.
Once mixed it's pretty harmless, unless you eat it.
Surely once it's on the wall it's safe, otherwise it won't be sold.
Keep the windows open for as long as you can until fully dry.

Just put a dust sheet up over the doorway and don't sleep in the room until its dry. Its plaster and water...... there are no fumes.
