I want to give plastering a go for the first time. I am planning on using multi finish.

I have one of these but wanted to check if it’s good enough or whether it will make this a frustrating experience.

I can see that trowels go up to £80 but trying to strike the right balance, given that it’s my first attempt.

Can you please advise. Thanks

OP,
up to 80£ and as low as a fiver - start with a cheap 280mm or 300mm steel trowel.
Constantly sponge clean it, and always keep it spotless.
