..............Is rock hard................FACT !!!!!!

Just had a go at plastering the wall in the kitchen with 2 doors a light switch and heating controls, turned out absolutely babba !!!!! haha.
I'm thinking of just boarding over it with pboard now, but the only thing is it will make my architrave look thinner where the board will meet.

On another note, The wall is 2.4 x 2.7 high, with 2 doors. How much do you reckon a good price would be to get a proper qualified plasterer in to do it ??
Or
Any other suggestions ????

Next time you plaster buy some decent tools and dont try using a door, two doors, and certainly not a light switch or even a heating control of whatever description.

Hawks and trowells are good (or bad, wicked)

For my expert advise you are most welcome....No need to thank me.

thatis a very well thought out retort id agree on the basis that plastering with doors would in my opinion get tiresome on the arms being its a hell of a lot heavier than a hawk and trowel

It is standard practice to either replace the door lining/casing with a broader one or, if it is practical, to glue and pin a knock-on timber strip to the existing.

I would consider it wouldnt really matter much as the eye would be taken away from this detail by the Banjaxed doors that were used as a trowell.

...A hawk...or both.

So, op, in reply to your question. Get a plasterer round and ask what he thinks as he may be able to salvage what you've done.

As for price, varies locally, but would have thought less than £200 plus any materials.

That's the best way foreward, and you wont have to worry about the problem with the door frame either.

Roughcaster.

Haha, some brilliant posts here, i laughed my nuts off, you irush are crazy !!!!
I guess i could have explained better, i did use the proper materials to plaster the wall, not a DOOR !!!!! haha.
Anyway, i got a mate of a mate to call round just now and he's gonna do it all in for £40 on Friday. Not bad for a qualified plasterer eh ??

Thanks again for your help.
