Is it okay to plaster 20mm conduit in walls or is there a risk of the plaster cracking due to temperature change and expansion of the conduit. I am thinking of using it to rewire my house.
The reson I am thinking of using it is because the cables can be renewed easily. Also the width of the chase is halfed and makes plastering easier as I will be plastering. The walls are thermolite so they are very soft. I am using a grinder as it is neater. I was just worried incase the plastic conduit caused the plaster to carck over time.
AFAIK vertical chases shouldn't be deeper than 1/3 wall thickness.
Horizontal chases shouldn't be deeper than 1/6 wall thickness.
This might affect your choice of conduit/covering.
