Hi all

I am thinking about using Hep2o for a bit of DIY improvement for a new central heating system. However I want to know about what fittings can be used, can you use speedfit stuff for bends etc?

Thanks

Why think about Hep2o pipe and Speedfit fittings? Stick with a single brand, or use compression fittings on PEX/PB pipe.

Standard 'speedfit' are rated for domestic water temprature and not central heating. Why not use Hep2o fittings !

Almost all Speedfit fittings are suitable for use on central heating.

Ok cool, I was just having a bit of trouble finding any for example at Wickes. I have not been able to find any isolation valves at all, may have to go to copper and put an isolation valve on that instead.

You can, as I said before, use compression fittings on PEX/PB pipe. Likewise for isos, use compression.

Yes, but you still need inserts.
Speedfit's metal isos/service valves are suitable for central heating.

PEX; cross linked polyethylene
PB; polybutylene
