Hi all,

Has anyone had any problems with the plastic radiator tail valves? I put them on a new towel rail in the bathroom so I could remove it without draining it but the valve is leaking from the screwdriver slot. I'll have to replace it anyway so is it worth putting new valved tails on or are they inherently rubbish and I should put normal ones on?

Any help would be appreciated.

plastic radiator tail valves?
Never heard of them. What make? Where did you buy them? Are you sure they are intended for radiators?

Hello Chris,

Got them from homebase, not sure what make they are. They're definately designed for radiators, so you can remove them for decorating without draining them. They're the same as isolating valves only the ?? turning part ?? is plastic or nylon or something. They don't close fully anyway so you get nice black water drips on whatever flooring you've got.
