Please help - Bath tap not running

Hello everyone,

Just wondered if anyone can help. It is the hot water tap in my bath. It suddenly doesn't run anymore. It was all right last night, and this morning, I could still turn it, but not as much as you normally do, and there is no water coming out. The tap itself remains very warm. The hot water taps in the rest of the property still work fine. What puzzles me is that if it is due to the build up of lime, then it will not happen overnight.

It happened before, but in a slightly different way: the water flow from the tap suddenly got very small, but then after a couple of days, it went back to normal.

Many thanks if anyone can give me some ideas on what might have caused this and how to fix it.

i had same problem; but with basin tap.what i done was turn off water in airing cupboard for h/w,undo top of tap(mine had screw under the h indicator on tap),take off shroud typpe cover,then you will see tap body. with spanner undo body off tap,unscrew the whole thing.with the tap body it seemed to be in 2 parts and they were lose. with mine i unclipped top of tap knocked spindal out of tap body with the two parts that came out they were loose. tightened them,put it bk together water back on and bingo it worked again. hope it helps otherwise get a plumber.
