hi i've moved to a rented property and have no idea how this system works.
last night my hot water/heating was not working, today i've looked at the system and have no pilot light lit, i really don't no how to relight this one, could someone please help????

cheers

You will struggle to relight the pilot.

There isn't one

What does the boiler do when you turn it on?

Look on top of the boiler, you will see a little red button , try pushing it.

ok, just climbed up, theres no red button that can be pushed, theres a red cap, and a dark red screw thingy, but neither can push or turn!!!

Its was the "dark red screw thingy" that i was talking about.

If that has not popped up then it has not overheated, so that discounts that.

If the house is rented why not ring the landlord and get it sorted?

My bet is the fan has seized but you need a CORGI engineer that check that.
