How does the law stand in a hospital enviroment where a unsleeved socket is being used on a piece of equipment ?

Does it need to be replaced with an insulated pin type or is it still ok to let it pass at a PAT test stage?

same as any other environment.. they may even have their own set of rules..
especially a they have the fabled "red plugs" there on some machines..
they are unfused "13A" plugs.. for things like portable x-ray machines where they use about 20A for about a second when actually taking the x-ray, but only a few amps for the aiming light and ascociated controls..
