I’ve got a 12v 10amp power adaptor that the uk plug has been damaged by one of the children running over it with something or other.
Anyway it’s a moulded plug so I’ve cut it off to replace the plug only to find the following wire colours:
Red, blue and yellow.
Can someone please confirm what wire is what?
Thank you in advance

Do a continuity check between the pins and the cut cores.
Are you sure it was just a "straightforward 13 amp plug" that got damaged, there may have been some other gubbings internal.

Is it an iec (kettle) lead?
