Currently reaching the flooring stage in my bathroom and I know that I can't tile directly onto the floorboards.

But if i want to tile the floor what would i best be putting down before i tile?

The floorboards are relatively level with maybe 1mm variance here n there.

Just wondering what spec/size/thickness of board I should use.

The area is only around 2.2m x 2.5m so would rather choose a better waterproof option considering my m² is quite small and don't mind spending abit more.

Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks

10-12mm foam filled backer and large tiles to minimise movement. Looks good btw.

also with these boards, which is the best way to fix them to the floorboards if they are to go on the floor and not the walls. ive seen dot n dab used, then also the method using the big circular washers etc. Thanks

yep you need some washers, but PVA also works as do regular screws if you are careful.
