pointing crack in garage

My house is a detached built in the 90s with an integrated garage. I just found in the garage there is a vertical crack (from ceiling to the floor) in the pointing where the wall meets a column. It is circled in the photo. It's about 1mm in width in most places. It may be there for a long time. The other photo is from outside where I circled the approximate area.

Is this something of concern or I am a bit paranoid? Many thanks for any advice.

Was the garage an added extra or was the house built like that?

Check the gully/drains to make sure there are no leaks.

@andy, thanks for your reply. The house was built like that. How do I check the drain for leaks?

Could it be settlement?

Oh, I am now worried:) Could the crack be a sign of subsidence? But it's not diagonal, and not wider than 1mm. There is also a small cherry blossom tree in front of the house, but there is no crack in that part of the house.

Don't worry, if there is a problem then it can be fixed.

What not to do is contact your house insurance yet.

@woody, just saw your reply to the other post on cracks. Shall I use polyfilla for my cracks as well? thanks.

Polyfilla is for things that will be painted!

Mortar or suitable coloured mastic for yours.

Monitor it for several seasons, but generally it would need to be cracking on the external bricks too for it to be of any significance
