pointing perished in dpc brick work

The mortar in the first layer of bricks of dpc has perished /eroded.

What mix is needed to repoint and method of replacement ?

It is the first layer only at outside ground level.

1 part OPC to 3 parts sand. No Fairy Liquid Rake out 25mm depth and repoint, joint profile to match existing.

thoroughly wet the area first. use a brush to wet it as this will remove the dust and wet the area to be pointed at the same time.
