Polishing unfinished Quartz worktop - anyone have experience?

Hello,

How feasible is it to polish the unfinished under side of this quartz worktop to a level of finish that is similar to top?

.I have a grinder and ROS sander, but nothing specific for stone polishing.

Reason; worktops are being donated from a friend, his sink cut out has draining slots that I do not want.

The surface area to be finished is 2M x 0.6M

Counter proposal, pun intended, find your local independent countertop company and ask them to polish them for you. I found one 10 mins down the road who cut one of mine down to size for me for a tenner. (It took them roughly 30 seconds so everyone was a winner).

I don't know what the underside is, but it really doesn't look like quartz. The worktop looks like it's made with something with a quartz top and lip applied to it - in the photo you can clearly see the difference between and demarcation between the front edge and the substrate.
