Hi all

I am intending to install some 10mm clear twin wall polycarbonate for a pitched lean to pergola

I understand they ideally should be fitted so the flutes run vertically, i wish to install the polycarbonate horizontally

However from researching on the Internet from what i have gathered if i install the polycarbonate horizontally, there is a possibility of dirt, insects, water ingress, moisture/condensation etc to build up...

Would foil tape or breather tape be suitable to prevent the above from occurring?

Is there anything i could do? or anything else you could suggest of?

Cheers

so i can have 1 long sheet and secure them down with 4 fixing buttons per rafter total of 4 rafters, dimensions are 1524x4724mm

If you installed it horizontally into proper bars with breather tape both ends and completely waterproofed with lead (but letting the air in) then it can be done.

Fixing buttons through it and it will condensate up.
