Polycarbonate shelter construction

Hi all,

I'm looking to make a polycarbonate shelter like the one in the picture.

I'm going to use 4" posts for the cross beam. Ideally I only want to use 2 of these posts to support the cross beam, however the span is 6m.

What is the best way and material to use for the cross beam to span the 6m without future issues.
