Polymer vs Silicon

I wanted a grey silicon and Selco did not do them so I bought a polymer instead that I thought it was the same thing.

Now 3 days after been applied between kitchen worktop and wall metro tiles it seems still really soft and it comes off after with the scrub of a sponge!

have I got the wrong thing and would you not recommend it for sealing the edge of tiles? It seem much more flexible than silicon.
What do you think shall I remove it a try to find a grey silicone instead ?

That is for using in expansion joints in brickwork. It is designed to stay soft for a very long time (years). You need to replace with silicone.

Yeah, that's really what would be a described as a polymer mastic rather than a silicone. Does it skin over but stay soft underneath?

If it does then replace with a proper sanitary silicone

Yanni, please hire tradesmen for your rental property, you seem to be making lots of mistakes. I do hope you are not a landlord from hell!
