Pond Edge Paving

My pond, which is liner-based, requires new paving around the edge, on the liner. What should I lay these slabs on - just normal mortar, or do I need to bed them down with sand?

By the sounds of it you would be better bedding them down on mortar. Sand will just wash away!

If you have fish in your pond, dont let any mortar fall in, otherwise you will soon have dead fish.

Try and seal the mortar also, as any chemicals in it will leach ino the pond when it rains.

id use a wet mix of mortar very carefully.

Also cover it if there is any chance of rain after its laid!

Paint the mortar on the pond edge with G4,this will seal it.
