I have recently changed a bath mixer tap to a mixer with small bore flexi pipes. The water flow has been substantially reduced as a consequence. Has anyone had a similar problem when changing over taps.

You have fitted high pressure tap/s on a low pressure system or your flex's are twisted.

As @HERTSDRAINAGE2010 mentions, what supplies your bath taps .... a cold water cistern in the attic and a hot water cylinder?

  5. Maybe some photos of the tap, connecting pipes, old tap just to get an idea.

Which tap have you installed ?
