Hi,

Am doing some block paving and was toying with the idea of turning this downpipe entry into a gulley, by adding a hopper to the top.

But I think the pipe might be too close to the wall. Other than dig it out and relocate, is there anything I can do?

Cheers

If you just put a hopper in there’s no trap so it’s not a gulley. Where’s the finished outside ground level, and is the orange socket a bend below ground?

Finished ground level is roughly at the bottom of that wooden gate post. Yes, the pipe bends below ground

I’d look at a bottle gulley with 90 bend straight down into that, or if you haven’t got enough height, just dig it out a bit and a couple of offsets/rotate the bend, basically whatever works to get gulley top at the right height
