Hi
I'd like to build a porch and have already been given a quote for the glass windows and doors. The fitting company recommended a builder and said they'd expect the cost to be £500 to £600 for putting a raised floor in and moving a drain pipe. The floor area is 72 x 28 inches. I asked the builder for a quote to raise the floor area in the porch by around 6 inches and move the drain gulley, which would require a gulley to be relocated by several inches (see picture below).

I've been quoted £1250 for this work, which feels steep. Is this a fair price for the drain and floor work?

Thanks

The price is what people in your area quote you not what random peeps on a forum think. Moving a drain could be a 5min or a 5day job

Between £800 - £1'250 is reasonable.
