Position of New Socket on a wall

Am I correct in thinking any new sockets have to be at least 15 inches?? from the floor

Seem to think I read this somewhere but cannot find it now

Any advice much appreciated

Only in new built and total refurbs. Good idea to put them at the new height though, unless it would look silly compared to nearby sockets.
