I am looking for advice of where to position unswitched sockets for LED plinth lighting in my kitchen. Rather than have sockets mounted on the inside of base units which look terrible IMO, can they be positioned on the wall at floor level? Ok it will be a bit of reach connecting them though?

Any alternative ideas?

They will be wired to grid module for switching.

Thanks

If you must have lights in the plinth then use ELV lights ( 12 volt etc ) and have the transformers above the worksurface level.

Mains at floor level in a kitchen where things get spilt is not a good idea.

So long as they can be isolated from accessible area....

fix all your transformers to the under side of the units using short screws? or even to the top side of the back of the plinth.

that'd then be off the floor and away from any possible spillages.
