I am constructing a loft floor and soon will be ordering the steels beams for this. The position of the stair trimmer is very important - too far forward and stairs will not fit (ie rise and going maybe at their limit).
Is there a common practice to set the trimmer back slightly and pack out with timbers bolted to the steel stair trimmer (Fastengin the top stair and Newells to this), if you need to, or is there another method I'm not aware of.
