Possible Airlock

Hi

I recently emptied my radiators to move one. Once I filled them up I noticed the hot water from the taps goes hot and then mild and hot again, etc. This would imply there is an airlock somewhere.

What I don't understand is how an airlock is in the hot water pipes from emptying the radiators? They're on different pipes?

Can anyone answer this?

Thanks

Google primatic cylinder. Evident by lack of separate f&e tank for central heating.

Ie one big tank feeding cylinder only.

Maybe when draining then filling you have aggravated the sludge and debris in the system and it's congregated in the secondary heat exchanger.

Is there a magnet on the return pipe?
