Hi All. Only cut one as a template, and it fits ok for a first go. I have 15 degree pitch.
My problem is that the height of the heel cut is only about 18mm to achieve the 100mm seat cut. I started to pencil the recommended 65mm height, but my seat cut would have been about 170mm, and best practice states no longer than the wall plate.
Am i doing something wrong? Thanks

All good with just 18mm. Better than nowt.

The point is to get the right bearing area by making the surfaces at the same angle, and generally less notching is better!
