It's the ground level that's of most interest. Plus any downpipes and paving, if so whether it slopes away from your building.

I mean how much lower the ground is than your inside floor. Ideally it should be 150mm or more. You may need to follow a horizontal line round from your door if there's no obvious way of telling.
