Hi there,

I have a Potterton EP2002 programmer that is causing the boiler to fire up - both DHW & CH - in all modes (except when programming the clock?) Even if i take the programmer off the backplate completely the boiler is still getting power and still firing up.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Ok, but why if you don't mind my asking? What will i be looking for?

look up FAQ.

Ask Agile for a price to fix, he advertises free on here.

A silver box (maybe off white) thing (or maybe 2of them), about 3" long by 2" high on top of a brass body with a cable coming from it

With all due respect guys, thank you for your help. I do know what a motorised valve is. I really can't see why it would be that? I believe the programmer is faulty, i was just seeing if anyone had some prior definite knowledge that could help me diagnose. If you're reading this thinking what an ungrateful cu**, you've got me wrong. Thanks for your help.
