Thank you AGILE. it was a sticking gas valve which i got repaired by a very good Corgi engineer.Thanks to everyone else who contributed positively

Was it Jason?

Did he have to replace it or could he clear the sticking?

That was over a year ago and a sticking gas valve on a Performa is very rare!

yes it was a sticky gas valve, i know the chap that fixed it...

A sticking gas valve is very rare on that model!

Usually around £200-£300 to change a gas valve.

Most often gas valve settings, flame detection electrode/cable or pcb.
