Potterton Prima 60F Boiler banging!

Ive just seen you already have a thread relating to this problem from earlier in week.

Did plumber not come back on Friday then?

In other thread I picked up that a radiator is used as a bypass, is that correct?

If the rad is after the zone valves then it won't work as bypass if valves close.

I think I've found the problem!

For some reason something told me to check the plumber's wiring for the two new zone valves. I opened up the central heating connectors and they were wired correctly but the hot water one wasn't! The grey and orange wires were wired together in one hole! Here's a pic.

I connected it correctly and turned the programmer back on. I now have a silent pump. I'm waiting for the timer to start the hot water program shortly and will let you know if the banging stops!
