As above the boiler flue fan is running all the time, is it the modulation PCB board that is the problem?

Perfectly normal operation for the fan to run at slow speed, gives the pilot plenty of fresh air (especially on long flues) and keeps the heat exchanger cool.

You mean the fan runs at full speed all the time? Oh the long flue, is at right angles through the wall

He has just said that it runs at SLOW speed all the time! That is when the boiler is not heating anything.

Hey, its not heating anything, but its not running slow, do you think it;s the PCB board

It just possibly might be the PCB but it could be the wrong fan has been fitted.

Whats the history of your boiler?

Are we talking about the electronic or perm. pilot version here ?

I would have thought it would be difficult to fit the wrong fan

there is only the puma 80/80e or the 100, the 100 is physically bigger

It can't be the wrong pcb as the electronic pcb lacks LK1 which provides the volts to the fan connector

the puma fan gets its low speed voltage from a tapping on the primary side of the mains transformer.

I can only think that the fan relay has welded itself in the N/O position or something

It must be the PP version because the electronic does not run the fan unless heat is being produced.

email on its way

I thought the OP had the fan running at high speed

the only obvious simple answer is that the fan relay is stuck in the N/O position
